Frontiers of Medicine 2007, Volume 1, Issue 3,   Pages 327-332 doi: 10.1007/s11684-007-0063-x

Abstract: In this study, we investigated the relationship between ROS and the levels of DNA damage induced by seleniteThe levels of DNA damage in HepG2 increased in all cells treated with an increasing dose of seleniteN-acetylcysteine (NAC), a known antioxidant, increased cell viability and decreased ROS generation. Moreover, NAC effectively blocked DNA damage induced by selenite. These results revealed that ROS might play an important role in selenite-induced DNA damage that can

Kinematic calibration of precise 6-DOF stewart platform-type positioning systems for radio telescope

HERNáNDEZ, Marco CECCARELLI, Carlos LóPEZ-CAJúN, Alejandro GARCíA

Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering 2013, Volume 8, Issue 3,   Pages 252-260 doi: 10.1007/s11465-013-0249-7

Abstract:

The pose accuracy of a parallel robot is a function of the mobile platform posture. Thus, there is no a single value of the robot’s accuracy. In this paper, two novel methods for estimating the accuracy of parallel robots are presented. In the first method, the pose accuracy estimation is calculated by considering the propagation of each error, i.e., error variations are considered as a function of the actuator’s stroke. In the second method, it is considered that each actuator has a constant error at any stroke. Both methods can predict pose accuracy of precise robots at design stages, and/or can reduce calibration time of existing robots. An example of a six degree-of-freedom parallel manipulator is included to show the application of the proposed methods.

Engineering 2023, Volume 29, Issue 10,   Pages 130-136 doi: 10.1016/j.eng.2022.05.023

Abstract:

DNA molecules are green materials with great potential for high-density and long-term data storageHowever, the current data-writing process of DNA data storage via DNA synthesis suffers from high costsHere, we developed a DNA movable-type storage system that can utilize DNA fragments pre-produced by cellIn this system, these pre-generated DNA fragments, referred to herein as "DNA movable types,"the costly and environmentally hazardous process of de novo DNA synthesis.
